Herakles High - Action ExcerptEwan stood with a jolt the moment the ceiling exploded inward, watching in horror as those creatures swarmed in. His next reaction startled even him - he looked at Nathaniel. It was something he’d pointedly been trying not to do for the entire evening, but when presented with this clear and imminent danger, his reflex was to make sure Nathaniel was okay and stay near to him. But the other boy was already fighting some of those shadowy beings, and hadn’t noticed Ewan’s concern. He was grabbed suddenly from behind and pulled startlingly backwards.
